Ready to Meet Your Breeder

Now that you have surfed my Website, Siamese Kisses and you like the Quality and Healthy Siamese that you see, it is time to make an appointment to meet me.  You want to acquire a personal connection to meet me, your breeder.  You want to see how your kitten will be taken care of from birth.  A good breeder has a breeding program that minimizes specific congenital defects.  You want your breeder to be knowledgable about the Siamese Breed.  Siamese are different from all other felines.  That is why it is hard to find excellent health and great quality.  An experienced breeder requires knowledge of the Siamese anatomy to understand the care of the parents as well as the litter that is being produced.  For the correct "kitten buyer etiquette" it is important to look for a knowledable, trustworthy, and reputable breeder.  You should not just look for a kitten,  My testimonals will attest to my abilities to breed the best Siamese kittens that will have quality and longivity.  Remember this Siamese kitten is going to be your companion for many many years to come.  Choose your breeder very carefully.  This subject cannot be stressed enough as to how very important it is in acquiring a kitten.

Things to Look for While Visiting Your Prospective Kittens Home

When you visit your perspective breeders home and interact with the Siamese, you want to make sure you come in clean clothes and clean shoes (clean shoe strings or no shoe strings is best).  You want to make sure the structures are secure and not in need of repair.  Outside enemies can wipeout a litter very quickly.  While visiting,  you want to feel comfortable in the environment where your prospective kitten will live until pickup day.  The litter boxes should be fresh, the floors clean and no animal smells that can lead to  upper-respiratory sicknesses and other diseases in your prospective kittens health.  If you are picking up a Siamese kitten, it is required to have a pet carrier.  It can be hard plastic, or made from a soft material.  Either is fine.

How Long Will I Need to Wait Until Taking My Kitten Home

Maybe there is a litter with boots on the ground, That Is Wonderful!  But then, maybe there will not be any litters planned for a few months.  Or maybe no litters planned for a year.  It is a normal and customary thing to wait  four to six months.  In all cases there will be a "Litter List" that you will be placed on for the time it takes for your kitten to be ready for there new home.  It is normal to place a non refundable deposit to get on the litter list.  So much more the reason to do your homework and look for a trustworthy and reputable breeder.  Once a deposit is made, an Agreement is typed up showing you have placed your deposit as well as the parents names that will produce the litter.  The Agreement explains that the kitten will have two wormings and it's first kitten shot.  There is a health guarantee provided for kittens sold at full price.  These are just examples of what is included in the Agreement.
